This is a quick overview of the entire X-Men franchise and its plots. This is an article for anyone who wants to refresh their memories or watch all of the X-Men films but doesn’t know what they’re watching. Here’s your guide, which you can read and flaunt around like you’ve seen all of the X-Men movies. We present X-Men – all films in chronological order of their plots and timelines.

1. X- Men (2000)

In a world plagued with fear, prejudice, and intolerance, the mighty meta-humans, the next link in the chain of human evolution, will soon be forced to choose sides. Professor Charles Xavier, a telepathic mutant, works to bring the two races together in peace. In hope that the bright students at his institute will utilize their abilities for good. While Magneto, his old friend and super-human enemy, prepares for war. Professor X’s newest student, Rogue, a young mutant with a lethal touch. Logan, or Wolverine, a body-regenerating, adamantium-infused mutant, is now caught in the center of a violent clash. That will either stop or herald in a new era in the history of homo superiority.

2. X2: X- Men United (2003)

After an unexpected enemy, who may be a mutant with amazing powers, launches a deadly attack, the mutants. They already live in a society that distrusts them, confront much greater prejudice. Colonel William Stryker, a military chief alleged to have experimented on mutants, is among the most prominent advocates of the law. The news of the assault sparks a public outcry against mutants, including fresh support for the Mutant Registration Act. Stryker devises a plan to exterminate mutants and launches an assault on the X-Men mansion and school. After escaping his plastic prison, Magneto forms an odd alliance with Professor Xavier in order to stop Stryker. Wolverine, meanwhile, travels north to learn more about his background.

3. X- Men: The Last Stand (2006)

The X-Men are back, mutant heroes have sworn to protect a world that despises and fears them. This time, they must face evolution in the shape of their old teammate, Jean Grey, with the help of new members Beast and Angel. The reborn Jean Grey has become a threat to herself. Her mutant comrades, and the entire planet, possess the cosmic power of the Dark Phoenix. To avert this impending threat to civilization, a potential “cure” is identified and processed to treat. Eventually, remove genetic abnormalities. The X-Men, commanded by Professor Charles Xavier, must now struggle with Jean Grey’s world-consuming powers. As well as the villainous Brotherhood, a band of powerful mutants united under Xavier’s old comrade, Magneto.

4. X Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)

The mutant half-siblings, James Logan and Victor Creed, have been on the run for nearly two centuries. Hunted for like prey and always on the run. The brothers will finally split ways when Colonel William Stryker offers them a chance at atonement after they have survived an endless run of catastrophic conflicts. Because of their remarkable regenerative and self-healing skills. However, against the backdrop of a personal tragedy, Logan will face an even greater challenge. One that pits him against the ugliness of vengeance and a technologically augmented formidable foe.

5. X Men: First Class (2011)

When Erik Lehnsherr’s mother is transported to a detention camp in Poland in 1944, he unleashes his magnetic power. Dr. Sebastian Shaw, who is malevolent, summons Erik to his office and murders his mother, strengthening Erik’s talents. The rich Charles Xavier meets the mutant Raven in New York and asks her to stay at his manor. Moira MacTaggert, a CIA spy, discovers mutants working with Shaw in 1962 and encourages Professor Xavier to recruit mutants for the United States government. With Raven, Erik, and a handful of teenage mutants, Xavier forms a squad. They find sooner or later that the evil Shaw intends to start a nuclear war in order to destroy the planet and enhance his authority.

6. The Wolverine (2013)

Logan has turned into a recluse, living alone in the woods and having nightmares about Jean Grey. Yukio, a samurai sword-wielding Japanese girl, comes to Logan one day and tells him that her grandfather, the powerful industrialist Yashida, is dying and that she wants to meet him one last time before he dies. Logan rescued the life of a Japanese soldier named Yashida at Nagasaki during World War II. He arrives in Japan with Yukio, and the moribund Yashida offers Logan mortality in exchange for his gift, but Logan declines. Logan has a strange dream with Yashida’s doctor Viper while sleeping, and Yashida dies soon after. During the burial, Logan stays, and the Yakuza tries to kidnap Yashida’s granddaughter Mariko. Logan saves Mariko and departs with her, but he is shot and his wounds do not heal. Logan guards Mariko while trying to figure out what happened to him.

7. X- Men: Days Of Future Past (2014)

Bolivar Trask’s formidable mutant-hunting robots, the Sentinels, have reduced both mutant-supporters and the meta-human race to the brink of extinction in a dystopian 2023, years after Logan’s experience in The Wolverine (2013). Professor X, his long-time friend/nemesis Magneto, and the remaining survivors of the original team in X-Men (2000) join forces with their 1973 versions in X: First Class (2011) to avert total annihilation, as the body-regenerating Wolverine travels back in time, entrusted with completing a life-or-death mission. Now, the shape-shifting Mystique finds herself in a precarious situation.

8. Deadpool (2016)

Just when fate seemed to be smiling on Wade Wilson, a dishonorably discharged special forces agent, by uniting him with Vanessa, the love of his life and a similarly broken kindred spirit, terminal cancer intervenes. Wade, desperate for a new lease on life, submits to Ajax’s highly empirical treatment of severe agony, which promises to activate Wade’s dormant mutant genes and cure him of his incurable condition. Now, the all-powerful, cancer-free, and self-healing anti-hero must face life’s harsh irony firsthand by masking as Deadpool and seeking vengeance on Ajax and his henchwoman, Angel Dust, for the harm that has been done.

11. Deadpool 2 (2018)

Following a tragic loss of his famed good looks in Deadpool (2016), the wisecracking Mercenary with a Mouth, Wade Wilson, or Deadpool, unwillingly joins Professor Charles Xavier’s X-Men. Wade sets out on a mission to help Russell, the troubled fire-starting mutant, unaware that Cable, a powerful time-traveling cyborg, has already set his sights on killing the young kid. Wade must now assemble a band of super-protectors to resist the cybernetic killer’s wicked ambitions from the future.

12. X- Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)

Professor Charles Xavier’s X-Men enjoy a mutually beneficial pact with the humans almost a decade after the nearly tragic events of X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), performing more risky missions as the Earth’s courageous protectors. During a dangerous NASA crisis in 1992, however, Jean Grey is imbued with an unknown cosmic force, which, despite the fact that she should be dead, amplifies her already formidable skills, transforming her into an all-powerful entity. Jean’s alien abilities are becoming increasingly unpredictable and dangerous, posing a direct threat not only to herself and her allies but to the entire globe.

13. The New Mutants (2020)

Danielle Moonstar wakes up in an abandoned research facility run by the mysterious Dr. Cecilia Reyes after a near-death experience during a bizarre tornado. Dr. Reyes introduces Dani to four other unusual teenagers: Illyana Rasputin, Rahne Sinclair, Sam Guthrie, and Roberto da Costa, who wants to keep them safe until they learn how to handle their exceptional powers completely.
