Since the 1980s, high school comedies have been popular. Nothing, however, has ever surpassed (or will ever surpass) the popularity of American Pie. American Pie movies is primarily a teen sex comedy that became an instant hit with the audience. It is a movie series that has evolved into a large franchise. Over the course of 23 years, the film series spawned four sequels and five spin-offs, beginning in 1999.
The series is a chaotic joyride of high school buddies and their sexual escapades, from the original American Pie in 1999 through American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules. With so many characters and tales to follow, it’s easy to lose track of which movie comes first and how to watch each American Pie film in order. Despite the fact that the first four stories are linked, they can be watched separately. Despite the fact that the characters are similar, the plots of each film are very different.
As a result, we’ve put together a handy guide on how to watch all of the American Pie movies in order of release date.
1. American Pie (July, 1999)

Director- Paul Weitz
Jim, Oz, Finch, and Kevin are four buddies who strike a deal to lose their virginity before graduation. The difficult part now is figuring out how to meet that goal by prom night. While Oz starts singing to attract attention and Kevin tries to persuade his fiancée, Finch tries every easy way to disseminate rumours he can think of, but Jim fails horribly. Whether he’s caught on top of a pie or on the Internet, Jim constantly turns to his father for sex advice.
2. American Pie 2 (August, 2001)

Director- J.B. Rogers
The guys reconvene for another summer of fun after their first year in college. After receiving a surprise call from Nadia, who wants to visit Jim, Jim continues his quest for sexual independence by enlisting the help of his old prom date, Michele. Meanwhile, after a year apart, Kev and Vicky find themselves in a difficult predicament. When Heather goes to France to study abroad, Oz has to deal with a long-distance romance. As the ever-horny Stifler harbours his hatred for Finch, who is embracing the Hindu discipline of Tantra, old feuds die hard.
3. American Wedding (August, 2003)

Director- Jesse Dylan
Despite the fact that Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) have been dating for several years, she is taken aback when he proposes to her in their favourite restaurant. After she agrees, Jim enlists the services of his best friends, Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas) and Paul (Eddie Kaye Thomas), to ensure that the wedding goes off without a hitch. When the three discovers that their hard-partying friend, Stifler (Seann William Scott), arrives in town as the big day approaches, chaos ensues.
4. American Pie Presents: Band Camp (December, 2005)

Director- Steve Rash
Matt Stifler (Tad Hilgenbrinck), eager to perpetuate on his elder brother’s heritage of mischievous and vulgar conduct, orchestrates a school prank that gets him into serious trouble. Matt is sent to band camp as a punishment and initially resents his geeky and musically inclined surroundings, but when he meets the attractive Elyse (Arielle Kebbel), his childhood love interest, he has a change of heart.
5. American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile (December, 2006)

Director- Joe Nussbaum
Erik, being a Stifler, should have a lot going for him in high school, but that isn’t the case. He isn’t an oversexed partying jock like his famed cousins, but rather a good-natured quiet guy. Tracy Sterling isn’t quite ready for sex yet, despite the fact that he has a girlfriend. Erik, on the other hand, is becoming increasingly desperate. He can’t possibly graduate from high school as a virgin, let alone as a Stifler, can he? Tracy then thinks it’s time after being teased by her girlfriends. Erik is pleased, but Tracy is not in the mood when things go wrong. She doesn’t want to punish him any more, so she lets him off the hook for the weekend. He is free to do as he pleases. Erik decides to attend the Naked Mile event at his cousin Dwight’s college, where people run around naked once a year.
6. American Pie Presents: Beta House (December, 2007)

Director- Andrew Waller
Clutzy Erik Stifler is only admitted to the party animals’ Beta fraternity as a result of his cousin Dwight, the party animals’ craziest creature. Despite this, Eric and his pals Mike ‘Cooze’ Coozeman, Jake Parker, and even overweight Bobby do well in Beta’s alternative hazing, which consists of a series of mostly enjoyable and/or erotic trials. The opulently housed, now most prestigious geeks frat and their president Edgar are still the brunt of too many ‘pranks,’ so he declares war and illustrates that brains and money can be terrible foes. Finally, the long-banned, lecherous Greek Olympiad will be resurrected, with Noah Levenstein, the last champion, as its chairperson.
7. American Pie Presents: The Book of Love (December, 2009)

Director- John Putch
Three young hapless virgins discover the Bible concealed in the school library at East Great Falls High ten years after the first American Pie film. Unfortunately for them, the book is broken, and the Bible takes them on a humorous quest to lose their virginity based on partial counsel.
8. American Reunion (April, 2012)

Director- Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg
Four small-town Michigan males set out on a mission to lose their virginity in the summer of 1999. Jim (Jason Biggs) married Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) in the years since, while Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas) has abandoned Vicky (Tara Reid). Although Oz (Chris Klein) and Heather (Mena Suvari) have drifted apart, Finch (Seann William Scott) still has feelings for Stiffler’s mother (Jennifer Coolidge). These lifelong friends have returned home to reflect on and be inspired by their old adolescent selves.
9. American Pie Presents: Girl’s Rules (October, 2020)

Director- Mike Elliot
In this ninth and last edition of the American Pie franchise, a group of girls takes over from the lads and their wild ways with sex. Five classmates get together in their senior year of high school at East Great Falls High to channel their lady power and obtain whatever they want before graduation.
