Whether you accept it or not, the first name that pops into our head on hearing ‘Macbeth’ is William Shakespeare. The original play has been adapted for generations. And many famous filmmakers and directors have been following it for years. The dramatic darkness of the characters has been a topic of research and exploration for filmmakers.
The Tragedy of Macbeth is the most recent adaptation of the original play by Shakespeare. But it is definitely wrapped in a more graphic and savage tone. The Play will have a comeback on the big screen holding the hand of Joel Coen, who is directing the movie. The first trailer was released on September 21, 2021, and the succeeding second teaser trailer was released on November 25, 2021.
The Tragedy Of MacBeth Plot:
The classic play is a story of murder, ambition, prophecy, and revenge and set in a dark tone.
According to the Shakespearean play, the first scene explains the trio of the witches. Who decides to meet Macbeth and prophesize that he’ll be the King of Scotland. They further predict that Macbeth’s associate, general Banquo will not be king himself. But his descendants will be bestowed upon the aristocracy. The pair would do anything to gain power and achieve their longings.
They murder King Duncan with a dagger but upon the revelation of this murder to Macduff, a nobleman, Macbeth kills the guards too out of rage. Once he is enthroned and gains the prophecy, he kills more people out of paranoia, ignited by Lady Macbeth. Keeping in mind the legacy of Banquo as predicted by the witches, Macbeth plans to kill Banquo and his son Fleance. Although he managed to kill Banquo, Fleance managed to escape the situation. Macduff and Malcolm lead an army against Macbeth. From a remote castle at Dunsinane, he is told that the Birnam Wood is moving towards him. Which is actually an army that marches in camouflage. However, a war overthrows Macbeth, which results in more death.
Keeping up the pace with the intensity of the original story, the upcoming drama movie casts a spell on the audience through the trailer.
