The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) is a long-running cartoon series. Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo are four anthropomorphic crime-fighting turtles in the series. Despite its odd concept, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles became a great hit, with toys, TV series, movies, and computer games based on the franchise. The franchise is still going strong, with various film adaptations in the works, including one starring Seth Rogen. But, until those come out, here’s a list of the best Ninja Turtles movie.
1. Turtles Forever (TV movies 2009)

Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello, four ordinary pet turtles, are transformed into talking, walking, fighting green machines after an out of the ordinary meeting with odd alien goo! These brothers work together with the famed sensei rat Splinter to master the martial art of Ninjitsu. When a teleporting disaster occurs, the turtles from one dimension meet the turtles from another dimension in this truly turtle-powered story. What exactly is going on here? The turtles must work together to find the Technodrome and cure this catastrophe! Meanwhile, Shredder chases down his counterpart, Ch’rell, who devises a master plan to return to the Prime Universe and finally eliminate the turtles. The turtles meet iconic characters like Casey and April, as well as a plethora of villains including Krang, Hun, the Foot Soldiers, the Purple Dragons, Bebop, and Rocksteady, as worlds collide.
2. Batman vs. Mutant Ninja Turtles (2019)

The Ninja Turtles and the Bat Family link up to face Ra’s al Ghul, the League of Assassins, and the Foot Clan in this flick. The film seamlessly blends the two series, and the plot will keep you interested throughout. Critics and fans alike praised Batman vs. TMNT, which garnered a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 100 percent.
3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)

Four sewer turtles in New York have been transformed into talking, upright-walking, crime-fighting ninjas by a mysterious radioactive goo. Splinter, the rat sensei, instructs the brave warriors Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo in the Ninjutsu skills. It’s up to the brave turtles to stop a nasty rogue ninja who is a former Splinter student from spreading chaos throughout the city.
4. TMNT (2007)

Director- Kevin Munroe
The Turtles are needed now more than ever after defeating their old archnemesis, The Shredder, but Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo have become disoriented and directionless. On the orders of martial arts teacher and father figure Master Splinter, Leonardo has travelled to Central America for training. In Leonardo’s absence, Donatello and Michelangelo launched minor companies. Strange things are happening in New York City in the meantime. The Turtles must band together once more to preserve the Earth from an army of ancient beasts.
5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows (2016)

Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, still dwell in the sewers of New York City two years after their struggle with Shredder and Eric Sacks, having enabled Vern Fenwick to take credit for Shredder’s demise. April O’Neil learns and notifies the turtles at Grand Central Station that scientist Baxter Stockman is working with Shredder and intends to free him. The Foot Clan attacks the truck transporting Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady while they are being moved between prisons by corrections officer Casey Jones. Despite the turtles’ efforts, Shredder is able to flee thanks to Stockman’s teleportation invention. The alien warlord Krang announces his plans to invade Earth after Shredder is kidnapped in the middle of a port.
6. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991)

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles face off against Shredder, the rogue ninja. Shredder seeks vengeance by getting the same radioactive ooze that gave birth to the Turtles and unleashing two new hideous mutants: Tokka, a giant snapping turtle, and Rahzar, a terrifying wolf-like creature. The Turtles must utilise their ninja combat skills to stop Shredder from using the leftover ooze on himself.
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993)

1393 in ancient Japan. With no map. I have no idea. With no pizza. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the worldwide phenomenon, returns for a daring journey back in time. April O’Neil, the Turtles’ best friend, is unintentionally sent to 17th century Japan, and they use a magical sceptre to track her down. Cowabunga. They soon learn that they’ve landed in the heart of a samurai rebellion. They now have a limited amount of time to save April and survive the deadly conflict before it reaches modern-day New York City.
8. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)

Shredder has taken control of New York City’s police and politicians, leaving his vicious Foot Clan to wreak havoc on the city. Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello, and Michaelangelo, mutant crime-fighters, jump into action when there are no possibilities for redemption in sight. They put up a good fight, too, though the heroes in a half shell will need the support of brave reporter April O’Neil and her quick-witted cameraman Vern Fenwick to truly defeat Shredder. Shredder’s scheme will fall apart swiftly with their support, and this once-great metropolis will flourish anew.
