Sylvester Stallone Teases Expandable 4, Barney Ross will be back sooner than you expect him to be. After getting delayed over and over because of developmental issues, it looks like Expandable 4 finally will start shooting. And the news came directly through the lead actor of the series. Sylvester Stallone shared an image of a cryptic ring on his Instagram feed marking the start of the movie. We don’t know if the production has been started or not, but things are definitely moving forward now.

Fans of the Expendable franchise would have understood the reference just by the pic only. But the caption made it completely clear. The caption reads “Just finished the [sic] designing the new ring for EXPENDABLE 4 It’s a little heavy, but it’ll definitely put some muscles on your fingertips”. The character of Sylvester in the Expandables franchise ‘Barney Ross’ wears a skull ring in every movie. And he is coming with full force in the fourth part.
Constant Delay!
Expendables 4 has been getting delayed for quite a while now. The Expendables franchise started back in 2010 and brought some of the biggest action heroes together on one screen. Stars like Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Jet Li were part of the movie and fans loved it. Both the sequels were also loved by the fans and almost grossed around 600 million dollars.
So, it was obvious to get the fourth part of the movie. But the fourth part kept getting delayed and delayed due to some inner reasons. And in 2017, it was reported that Sylvester had left the franchise for good. It was due to disagreements with Nu Image/Millennium chief Avi Lerner.
But, it looks like everything is back to normal now and we will get the movie around next year probably. Another Expendables star Randy Coture further confirmed it in an interview back in March.
Randy said “It sounds like we’re gonna get to do [Expendables] 4. They’ve been kicking it around for a couple of years now but I’ve just recently heard from my agent that they’re working on the script for [Expendables] 4 and they’re planning to schedule filming for Expendables 4 for this/next fall. So I haven’t seen the script yet. They had one a couple of years ago that they were talking about making Expendables 4 out of, and then it [the previous script] got away.“
The Expandable 4 Release Date
For now, the movie is still in the pre-production stage and we have no other details regarding the movie. If everything goes smoothly we might be able to see the movie around the last months of next year.
The Expandables 4 Cast
As of now only Sylvester and Randy have been confirmed other than that there is no news. We expect that Schwarzenegger, Statham, Li, Dolph Lundgren, and Antonio Banderas will also make their return because without them there will be no Expendables.
