Crimes of the Future, a dreadfully delicious new film from David Cronenberg that just debuted on June 3, 2022, has blessed body-horror aficionados. Due to his distinctive technique to making horror movies, Ronenberg is referred to as “The King of Venereal Horror” or occasionally “The Baron of Blood.” Let’s discuss several films that are comparable to Crimes of the Future that you should watch if you liked it without giving too much more away as the film has only recently been released exclusively in theatres.

Research scientist Seth Brundle who works for Bartok Sciences. He has created “Telepods”. They are two-matter transmission pods that can transfer any thing through space from one “Telepod” to the other. But Seth doesn’t successfully teleport until he meets journalist Veronica Quaife, who motivates him to change the system. Seth utilises himself as a test subject for a matter transmission experiment. Hence, teleporting himself without realising his genes has combine with those of a house fly stuck in the telepod with him. However, something goes tragically wrong. As his modified genes start to take control, Seth now finds himself slowly transforming into the terrible mutant creature known as “Brundlefly”. Therefore, engaged in a bloody conflict.

The tranquil South Carolina village of Wheelsy is struck by a burning meteorite as it crashes into the dense forest. A stealth extraterrestrial invasion begins when the burned rock reveals its hidden composition. Grant’s wife, Starla, begins to notice that something has been bothering him over the past few days. As an internal alteration gradually changes him into an extremely repulsive beast. Tasya Vos is a corporate agent who inhabits the bodies of other individuals using technology known as brain implants, inspiring them to carry out murders for the organisation. Despite having a special talent for the job, she has undergone a significant transformation as a result of her experiences on these assignments, and she now fights to control her inclinations to use violence in her own life and in her recollections of it. She starts to lose control as her mental stress increases, and soon she is imprisoned in a man’s mind whose identity threatens to destroy her own.

As a result, an unexpected discovery in the woods turns out to be the silent forerunner of violence. The family’s carefully cultivated fantasy and mum’s manufactured picture-perfect reality are now in jeopardy due to the object in Tinja’s bedroom. And to think Tinja, with her wide eyes, would go to any lengths to win over her passive-aggressive mother.

8. You Won’t Be Alone (2022)

Dark immortality slowly piques Nevena’s animalistic, wide-eyed curiosity as she travels the myth- and superstition-filled continent, gathering both rewarding and terrible experiences. But Nevena’s relentless, evil tormentor is always there.
