I adore this movie. It was such a surprise that it hit me with all the emotions. It was such a beautifully shot movie from start to finish. The movie was simple, coherent and was also complex, ambitious and emotional.

The story is based on Kumail Nanjiani and his wife, Emily V.Gordon real life. Gordon was placed in medically induced coma into eight months dating Nanjiani. The movie hits all the emotional note masterfully.

The way it was shot was so jarring in a good way. The chemistry between Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper is so natural that it will make you laugh and root for them.

Pride and Prejudice

Let me explain this movie in a single word ‘Serenity.’ It is such a peaceful yet troubling movie. It is such an endearing movie, and you will get wrapped up in the movie so effortlessly.

The characters in this movie are just so beautifully adapted in the screenplay. Pride and Prejudice is a prime example of how to adapt a movie from a book. And we haven’t even talked about the technical aspect of the movie yet, which is so charming in its way.

This movie came out in 2018 in black and white and on 4:3 ratio, and it worked out so well for the movie that I can’t describe it in mere words. Pawel Pawlikowski was on entirely different level and took it up by a notch from his previous movies.

I needed a couple of days to digest this movie and realize what I just saw. It was so impactful, and some of the shots of this movie were utterly ridiculous. It will affect you profoundly, and you will be in awe by the end of it.

Lust, Caution

This Ang Lee drectorial project is perfect in many sense. If you are a fan of Asian historical drama, you have to watch this movie no matter what. Let me say that it blew my mind completely.

The best part about Lust, Caution is that it is a character driven movie. And I have not seen a more robust character in many movies apart from this. Catch this one as soon as possible, and you won’t regret it.

The Lunchbox

The movie came out in 2013 but was shown to Indian audience in 2017 only. This movie has something that so many other love stories does not have. A ‘Heart.’ The Lunchbox was the first Indian movie that won Grand Rail D’or at Cannes Film Festival.

This movie features one of the best Indian actors to grace the screen in the form of Irfaan. And he is in an acceptable form in this movie. Possibly his best venture of all time. One of the best romance films of all time.

Punch Drunk Love

I don’t know why, but I absolutely love this movie. My favorite romantic movie of all time, and it isn’t even close. One of the most beautifully shot movie I have ever seen, and the color palletes are just out of this world.

The subtle development of characters and story that this movie showcase is just otherworldly. I can go on and on about this movie, but you should watch it yourself to see what I am talking about.
