David Mann is a typical family man who is travelling for work. Unfortunately, things only get worse when a huge gasoline tanker in front of him makes him drive more slowly than he would prefer. Mann becomes aware that he isn’t dealing with a typical road hog as the journey proceeds. Despite the fact that Mann can never see the trucker’s face, the driver quickly reveals himself to be psychopathic as he begins to run Mann off the road and fool or force him into a series of dangerous scenarios. Mann tries to get away from the vehicle as the terrifying journey goes on, but every time he believes he has, the truck shows up to terrify him even more. His realisation that escaping won’t help him and that he must take a stance and combat the crazed trucker comes at the end of the horrifying confrontation.

4. Doodlebug (1997)

A man is depicted frantically running across his apartment in Doodlebug, pursuing a tiny bug. Once he has it in his possession, the creature is shown moving exactly like him. A larger version of him squashes him after he has already been squished by it.

5. Bottle Rocket (1996)

The aimless Anthony joins his friend Dignan, who appears to be far less sane than the former, after being released from a psychiatric hospital suffering a nervous breakdown. Dignan has devised a fanciful plan for an as-of-yet-undisclosed criminal spree that somehow involves his illustrious former boss, Mr. Henry. Anthony and Dignan pull off a job and travel, where Anthony falls in love with motel maid Inez, with the assistance of their pitiful neighbour and friend Bob. When our boys finally get together with Mr. Henry, the subsequent antics turn out to be far different than anyone had anticipated.
