Dexter Revival, It is a happy day in Dexter land as the Trinity Killer will make his return. John Lithgow himself confirmed that he will return for the final season of the upcoming show Dexter. Many fans consider Trinity Killer as the arch-nemesis of Dexter. The main antagonist helped define Dexter as a character and also as a show. He was introduced in the fourth season of the show as an older serial killer. He lived his whole life without ever getting caught after developing a killing method that left no evidence. Both characters had an unusual relationship throughout the show, as saw Trinity Killer as a successful example and a dangerous adversary.

But, he will not be the main villain in the final season of the show. And he will only appear in a guest role for one or two episodes. So, it might be returning to his old rival foe for a bit of advice against his new rival Clancy Brown. But, no matter for how long Trinity Killer will be on our screen, it will always be a pleasure to watch him. And if they don’t nerf him down because of his, it will be the best.
Dexter Revival Plot
The ninth season will continue right from where season 8 ended. Meaning it will feature Dexter hiding in the woods. But it is not like the time hasn’t passed in the timeline. It will serve as a second finale to right the original ending that was bad.
I am happy that we are getting another season of Dexter because I was not satisfied with how the last season ended. The ending wasn’t that bad, but it didn’t felt like an ending. There was nothing “finalizing” about the finale. He went into hiding and that was it. It felt like a deliberate setup to continue the story, later on, maybe a movie was in plans. But, now we are getting it and I can’t be more excited about it.
Dexter Revival Release Date
The show will come out in 2021 only. Maybe they will announce it with the official trailer release. The ninth season will consist of 10 episodes, making it shorter than all the other seasons. It will probably have weekly releases like all the other seasons.

Dexter Revival will feature Julia Jones (The Mandalorian), Alano Miller (Sylvie’s Love), Johnny Sequoyah (Believe), Jamie Chung (Lovecraft Country), Oscar Wahlberg (NOS4A2), Jack Alcott (The Good Lord Bird), and Michael Cyril Creighton. And John Lithgow makes his return as the Trinity Killer.
Clyde Phillips is overseeing the story of the ninth season while Marcos Siega is directing it. Both of them will also produce the series alongside Michael C. Hall.
Dexter Revival: What To Expect?
So, Dexter Revival will be darker than the original version of it. If I am being honest I am in love with that idea. Jamie Chung, who is a new addition to the series talked about it in an interview. She stated ” The original series happened over 10 years ago, so there’s certainly a different vibe of the way the actual show is shot in terms of the aesthetic. I do think it’s a little darker.”
So, we might see a more cold-blooded psycho serial killer that will haunt you for real. She also stated that there will be lots of new fresh faces in the show. I don’t know what can be possibly darker than we got. But I want it more than anything. It has been 10 years and now I can’t wait for it to come.
