Devils don’t come from hell beneath us. No, they come from the sky.
Finally, we are getting an Injustice animated movie and I can’t tell you how excited I really am. Warner Bros. released the first trailer of the upcoming Injustice movie and it was just brilliant. It didn’t show us anything that would have spoiled something. Obviously for someone who hasn’t read comics or played the game. But it did show enough to show that something very bad is going to happen and no one will be able to stop it. And that is exactly what Injustice is. It is something really bad that happened to Earth when its mightiest heroes turned their back on it. If Warner Bros. does this right, we are looking at one of the best movies of the year.
Injustice: Plot
The official synopsis reads “, the animated film Injustice finds an alternate world gone mad – where The Joker has duped Superman into killing Lois Lane, sending the Man of Steel on a deadly rampage. Unhinged, Superman decides to take control of the Earth for humanity’s own good. Determined to stop him, Batman creates a team of like-minded, freedom-fighting heroes. But when Super Heroes go to war, can the world survive?”
You will get the main plot of the movie by trailer only. The story will take place in an alternate timeline in DC Universe. A timeline where Jokers kidnap Lois Lane. And in an unfortunate turn of events, she dies. We won’t tell you how she will die because that will be a major spoiler and will ruin the experience for you. The death of Lois and his unborn child drives Superman into madness. And to prevent what happened to Lois he turns into a dictator. Superman turns into the literal thing he took an oath to destroy. And obviously, our Batsy is not going to sit idle and let it all slide. He makes a resistance force with all the members of the Justice League that haven’t join Superman and his crusade yet to take him down. It will be a very long and hard battle.
Will There Be More Parts?
The thing is, the Injustice comics follow a story of 5 years. But the movie is said to be based on the actual game. So even if we talk with respect to the game, the actual storyline completion in-game takes almost 5 hours. And that is if you will rush it. So, there is no possible way that the animated movie will be able to cover all of this in just one movie. I think the sequels are on their way and will be announced soon. Maybe we will get the announcement at the end of the movie only. We will have to wait and see.
And one thing I noticed is that the synopsis reads that the movie is based on Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One by Tom Taylor. So I think we can say that more parts will be coming in future. And if they are doing one part per year, it will be so good.
Injustice: Release Date
The movie is all set to release on October 16, 2021, on 4K Ultra HDTM Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-rayTM, and Digital. Before that, it will get a sneak peek revealed during the next DC FanDome. DC FanDome will take place on October 16, 2021.
Injustice will be 1 hour and 18 minutes long. And I haven’t told you the best thing about Injustice yet. It is that it will be R-Rated. It means that we will get all the violence from the movie unfiltered. And that is exactly what I want.
