Shiva Baby, directed by Emma Seligman is a dark comedy. Danielle, a senior year student attends Shiva with her parents. In order to financially support herself, Danielle mingles with a sugar daddy. Chloe Zhao’s Songs My Brothers Taught Me revolves around the life of two siblings. Johnny is a high school senior who is all set to leave his town and move to the city in order to explore opportunities in his life. His life takes a sudden turn when his father passed away. Johnny stays back in town to take care of her 13-year-old sister. Both the sibling explores their lives and redefine the meaning of home together.
