Fatherhood Movie Review, Fatherhood movie stars Kevin Hart in a serious role with his usual bits.
When I saw the Fatherhood movie trailer for the first time, I was really surprised by it and was really excited about it. Kevin Hart is one of the best comedians out right now and to see him in a serious role was an intriguing factor for me. Other than that Fatherhood movie trailer really excited me as it looked like a really emotional drama. Fatherhood Movie is released on Father’s Day, and it looks like the perfect father’s day gift. The only thing that I am disappointed by is how few people are talking about Fatherhood Movie.

If I can sum up the Fatherhood movie review in one word, it will be that it is a “heartwarming” movie. The main selling point of the Fatherhood movie is obviously the subdued character of Kevin Hart. But it is really more than that. The plot, the cast, the direction, and even the music fell in place. And all of it makes Fatherhood movie a really pleasant tale that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy in your happy glands.
Fatherhood Movie Plot
The official synopsis of the movie reads “A father brings up his baby girl as a single dad after the unexpected death of his wife who died a day after their daughter’s birth”.
The fatherhood movie plot is as simple as it can get. It is a story that has been tried and tested for ages now. A tale of a single father raising his girl on his own. Right from the first scene, the movie will let you know that a tragedy has happened. The story revolves around Matt and his daughter Maddie. And even though Matt is a single father, the importance of his wife Liz is too much to ignore.
Just one day after the early birth of Maddie, Liz collapses and Matt never sees her again. So, when Matt is standing in the church and says “It sucks” because he can’t find any other words, it is understandable. And the whole Fatherhood movie is like that only. It is understandable and real. And once again as a pleasant surprise, it is cheesy at some points and I liked it. The plot is structured in such a way that it will make you laugh and cry and you will be invested in it.
Fatherhood Movie Performance
Netflix Fatherhood movie has a solid cast and all of them were really convincing on the screen. The movie includes Kevin Hart as Matt Logelin, Alfre Woodard as Marion, Lil Rel Howery as Jordan, DeWanda Wise as Swan, Deborah Ayorinde as Liz Logelin, and Melody Hurd as Maddy Logelin in the lead roles.
I expected to see classic Kevin Hart do his usual thing, which I got, but in small doses. He really impressed me with his performance. He carried it beginning to end without leaning on his fast-talking funny guy routine. It was something new and fresh from him and it felt good.
Another cast member that impressed me was DeWanda Wise as Swan. She is the most charismatic person in the movie and she carried the movie in most parts. The only shame was that she didn’t get much screen time which she really deserved. It was an amazing experience to watch her on the screen.
Fatherhood Movie Direction
There was nothing special in the direction of the movie. Paul Weitz has done good work in certain scenes but other than that it was pretty generic. And in my opinion, it was the best decision. There was no need for some out-of-the-way shots. He did a pretty good job by directing the movie sensitively. I liked the direction of the Fatherhood movie for what it was.
Fatherhood Movie: Is It Worth It?
YES, It is. Fatherhood Movie is a heartwarming tale that will really melt you down. I was expecting some really funny scenes and expected to laugh. I will really like to see more movies like this from Kevin Hart. It was a soothing experience. The fatherhood movie might be the best family watch this month and you should definitely give this one a watch alongside your family. As it is definitely the Best new Netflix movie this week.
