The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise has finally seen something truly exciting: a new film with money aimed at resurrecting Leatherface’s terrors. Despite the fact that the first sequel took 12 years to be on screens after the original picture, the franchise has had a long run with a variety of approaches to the morbidly intriguing psychopathic Sawyer family hiding out in nowhere, Texas.

Below are every Texas Chainsaw Massacre film in Chronological order.

1. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)

1974 is the year. A group of five close friends is driving through the remote roads of Texas on their way to their grandfather’s tomb. Which may have been destroyed. Sally Hardesty and her disabled brother Franklin are among them. They come upon an unsavoury hitchhiker (Neal), who uses a wicked-looking knife to gash both himself and Franklin. The others successfully evict the hitchhiker from the van. But they are forced to pull over to a small, menacing clapboard house nearby in the hopes of finding gas. The ghastly Leatherface (Hansen) and his terrible, deranged family of cannibalistic psychopaths live in this house, which none of them recognise. The Leatherface murders the teenagers one by one in gruesome ways. Sally soon finds herself an uninvited visitor in Leatherface’s house. She flees into the night to avoid the deranged cannibal and his blaring chainsaw.

2. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986)

The obnoxious phone pranking of two road tripping, party-hard hoodlums plagues radio DJ Vanita ‘Stretch’ Brock’s open request night. But things take a sinister turn when the hoodlums meet their fate at the hands of familiar chainsaw wielding maniacs. Stretch enlists the help of a former Texas marshal who is on a personal vendetta against this family of cannibals. The entire terrible ordeal is taped. While he initially rejects her, he eventually decides to utilise her recording to his advantage. Also requesting her to play it during her request block, successfully luring the cannibals to the radio station. Where he will deal with them personally.

3. Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (1990)

A brother and sister drove their father’s automobile from California to Florida to deliver it to him. Meanwhile, police have discovered the bodies of the Original Family from TCM 1 and 2 buried in the ground, covered in poisonous garbage. A mad man with a shotgun threatens the brother and sister when they stop at a petrol station. They follow a path that Leatherface and his family told them about at the gas station. But they are pursued by Leatherface and his family. A Survivalist with a lot of weaponry is the only hope.

4. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994)

A group of prom-going teenagers take a dangerous detour into the Texas woods and are involve in an accident. They seek assistance from Darla, an apparently innocent insurance agent whose office is nearby. Because they are strand and have nowhere to go. They return to the crash site after Darla cries for aid. There they are discovered and terrorised by Leatherface and his insane brother, Vilmer. Then taken to an ancient farmhouse where they meet the rest of the cannibalistic clan.

5. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)

Erin, her boyfriend Kemper, their friends Andy and Morgan, and the hitchhiker Pepper return from a vacation in Mexico on August 18th, 1973, in Texas. Kemper is behind the wheel when a distressed young woman wanders onto the road, endangering her life. They decide to assist her, and she kills herself inside the car. They decide to find a phone so they can call the Sheriff, and they end up to Thomas Hewitt’s house, where the evil Leatherface and his deranged family threaten their life.

6. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006)

In August of 1939, a worker in a slaughterhouse goes into labour and dies after a difficult labour, however the deformed infant survives. The apparently orphan infant is abandoned in a rubbish can and later discovered by a beggar, who returns him to his family. Despite having psychological issues and suffering from an undiagnosed skin ailment, the Hewitt family raises the mentally challenged and disturbed youngster named Thomas, who later works in a meat packing company. When the facility closes in July 1969, the residents relocate, but Thomas, a disfigured, intellectually childish man, bursts into a frenzy after being humiliated and murders the foreman.

His insane brother assassinates the sheriff who is about to arrest Thomas, dressing in his clothes, driving his car around Texas roads, and claiming the title of Sheriff Hoyt. Meanwhile, Eric and Dean, along with their girlfriends Christie and Bailey, are going in a Jeep with their girlfriends Christie and Bailey, Eric to Vietnam and Dean to Mexico. Hoyt arrests Eric, Dean, and Bailey after the trio has a car accident and takes them to his house. Christie follows them as they attempt to save the trio, who are locked in a house full of vicious and deranged cannibals, in a terrifying and gory journey.

7. Texas Chainsaw 3D

People in Newt, Texas, had been mysteriously disappearing for decades. The townspeople’s darkest worries about the secretive clan were realised when a terrified young girl escaped from the Sawyer mansion after watching her pals killed like cattle. Enraged, the residents assembled a mob, set fire to the blood-soaked abattoir, and murdered every member of the family one by one. One of the Sawyers, however, slipped away into the darkness during the burning turmoil of that fatal night. For decades, it appeared that the horror had come to an end. When Heather Miller, a young lady, learns that her distant grandma has died, she is devastated. The discovery of a horrible secret concealed down in the dungeon, compelling her to an isolated Victorian estate in the Texas desert, indicates the Sawyer’s heritage of evil lives on.

8. Leatherface (2017)

In 1955 rural Texas, the young Jed Sawyer is assigned the responsibility of luring an unsuspecting random passer-by into the family’s dilapidated barn house as part of a cruel initiation exam on his birthday. When Texas Ranger Hal Hartman’s only daughter dies a terrible death, the kid will be forcibly separated from his nasty mother and committed to a mental institution for his own safety. During a chaotic riot ten years later, the nearly adult Jed and a handful of criminally insane convicts manage to escape the asylum, embarking on a path of murder and massacre while the vengeful Ranger pursues them.

9. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a slasher film directed by David Blue Garcia and written by Chris Thomas Devlin, based on an original storey by Fede lvarez and Rodo Sayagues. The project will be the ninth overall chapter, and will be a direct sequel to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), disregarding all preceding films in the franchise. Legendary Pictures, Bad Hombre, and Exurbia Films are working together on the project. Sarah Yarkin, Elsie Fisher, Mark Burnham, Jacob Latimore, Moe Dunford, Olwen Fouéré, Alice Krige, Jessica Allain, and Nell Hudson are among the cast members.
