Lord Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham, regards his life’s work as continuing his family’s legacy, particularly the opulent country estate Downton Abbey. His distant cousin Matthew Crawley, a lawyer in Manchester, accepts moving onto the expansive estate with his even more modernist, socially active mother, who clashes with his Lordship’s domineering, traditional mother, the dowager countess, as the next in line following the death of his heir aboard the R.M.S. Titanic. Another issue is girls being married off. The family’s butler is in charge of a crew that works for the household but spends the majority of their time talking amongst themselves in the servants’ quarters.

7. Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace
Created By- Richard Ayoade, Matthew Holness
Cast- Matthew Holness, Matt Berry, Richard Ayoade
In the 1980s, the revolutionary television series Darkplace, which was set in a hospital and delved into the author’s imagination, was written, produced, directed, and starred in by horror author Garth Marenghi. In the contemporary interviews that bookend and interrupt the episodes, Marenghi and his publicist/co-star Dean Learner, at least, make that allegation. The show is shockingly misogynistic, cheesy, cheap, and full of story flaws. Comedian Matthew Holness created the persona of Garth Marenghi, which he used to win a Perrier award at the 2001 Edinburgh festival.
8. The Pursuit Of Love

Between the two World Wars, in Europe, the narrative chronicles the exploits of charismatic, fearless Linda Radlett and her best friend and cousin Fanny Logan. The two women are looking for the perfect husbands because their yearning for love and marriage has consumed them. As Linda chooses to follow her heart to increasingly wild and outrageous locations, and Fanny opts for a steady life, their friendship is put to the test. Their differing viewpoints raise personal issues that are still very much current today, including issues of freedom, love and sex, and the mystique of the human heart, while social and political conflicts divide the nation.

They escape the collision and end up trapped on a remote island. The castaway girls were not aware that the Hawaii-based Dawn of Eve programme director had planned the plane accident as they struggled to survive and learn secrets from one another.
This is a potent drama series with lots of feelings and ideas. It demonstrates a variety of intricate issues that affect the world today as well as how several adolescent females deal with them.
