If any A-tier actor did this movie, it would have been one of the major hits of that year.
Dumb and Dumber
On paper, this movie should not have worked. There are way too many problematic scenes in this movie. And the trope of two dumb lead actors/best friends should not have worked this well.
But, Dumb and Dumber might be one of my most revisited movies of all time. It is such a bad movie that it is good. It is guaranteed a laugh and one of the best road comedy movies.

What a well-made, beautifully structured movie this is. Quentin Tarantino is on top of his game for this one and never misses a beat. Yes, it is a strange movie, but the pure chaos that this movie showcase is brilliant.
This movie’s satire route came out of nowhere and will keep you laughing uncontrollably.
Piku
This right here is my favorite movie on this list. Piku is the max comfort movie that I can watch anytime. It is a boring movie, just like our lives. You will submerge into this very easily.
It is a beautiful watch from start to finish. The dry humor of Irfaan will make this ten times better. Piku is one of the Best Road Comedy Movies of all time, and it is not even a debate.
Smoke Signals
HEYY VICTOR!! Many say this movie is outdated and does not hold up in today’s world. But, I believe Smoke Signals still stands strong and takes me on an adventure unlike anything.
It is not necessarily a good comedy movie. Sometimes it will feel forced, and sometimes you want to turn the movie off. But if you can fight those desires and look past those things, you will find an enjoyable, funny movie.
Dil Chahta Hai
Let’s talk about a movie that is celebrated in India. Dil Chahta Hai was way ahead of its time. It never feels like a movie from 2001 and is still relevant even after 20 years. That is a big feat.
Secondly, there are so many positives in this movie to ignore. The lead actors are just brilliant. The movie is shot beautifully, and the songs of Dil Chahta Hai are just melodious.

Let’s talk about a movie that completely changed how to perceive a movie for the Indian audience. 3 Idiots is such a fan favorite that it can still start a riot. The trio of Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi became legends after this one.
Even Chetan Bhagat’s career got skyrocketed after 3 Idiots. It was such an impactful movie. The songs are good, the screenplay is just mesmerizing, and finally, the movie is a masterpiece.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara
From one cult classic Bollywood movie to another. Whatever I have mentioned about 3 Idiots applies to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara as well. Let me say it is even better than 3 Idiots in some sense.
Another trio that will be remembered for ages in the form of Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akthar, and Abhay Deol.
