We had to do it because of Malignant
Warner Brothers had a really amazing month this time. Apart from their usual controversies they actually released some very decent movies this month. Well, they have been releasing good movies continuously for a while now. And it looks like HBO Max is also following the same tradition. Because there have been some absolute bangers in September on HBO Max.
We are obviously talking about Malignant but there have been some other bangers on HBO Max as well. So without wasting much time, let’s start with the list. As these are the 7 Best New Movies On HBO Max In September 2021.
Suicide Squad
The Suicide Squad might be the best DCEU movie to date. If I was not biased I would definitely rate it as the best. Every critic has rated this movie greatly. Rotten Tomatoes has given the movie a near-perfect score and I was not expecting that. As I said, The Suicide Squad is firing from all cylinders and is a really fun watch. It feels like what we should have gotten in the first place that WB deprived us of.

My Neighbor Totoro
Let’s just watch a fun-time sweet movie that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy in your happy glands. Studio Ghibli has something magical that even without any special effects they create a magic that is really hard to be recreated by any other studio. Just watch this movie by leaving all your worries aside and have a good time.
Evil Dead 2
Personally, my favorite Evil Dead movie of all time. One of the rare horror comedies to remain both genuinely funny and scary from start to finish thanks to its specific use of slapstick horror. It’s still one of the greats in this subgenre. If you haven’t watched Evil Dead yet, you should. Because it is one of the best movie franchise of all time.
2001: A Space Odyssey
It is a very good movie, but on a different note, it is one of the most important movie of all time. is what made science fiction movies be looked at like art other then campy B-movies. It has amazing visuals story telling and all the effects in it still hold up today. It also leaves its meaning ambiguous and up to the viewer so how ever you view it is right. It also has a huge impact on films and filmmakers today like Christopher Nolan and Villeneuva.

Ouija: Origin of Evil
I have no idea how this movie didn’t suck. I mean, it was silly from the get go. But the makers made it work and we had one of the best horror of all time. I mean, I don’t even know why we had a sequel when the first part was really bad. But this is pure example of sequel erasing all the bad memories of a bad first part. If you want to watch a really good horror movie, Ouija: Origin of Evil is the one for you. Just don’t watch the first one.
Malignant
James Wan is definitely one of the greatest director right now, and he proved that once again with Malignant. It is pure example of twisted horror movies that I can get behind. The final act of the movie is just brilliant. If you want gore and brutal death scenes and good characters this is for you. This movie will build up all the anxiety and excitement with every scene. I know that Malignant is not for everyone, but if this is your taste, you won’t find much better movie than this.
