The first impact on video game movies is, of course, the video game on which they are based. However, a lot of video games are inspired by movies. Uncharted, a game-turned-film about treasure hunters in search of historical artefacts and wealth, owes a lot to Raiders of the Lost Ark. That is, of course, only one of the most influential action films of all time. As a result, Uncharted appears to be linked to more current films that owe a lot to Raiders of the Lost Ark.
