Meanwhile, Jeff’s brother, Pat, a tone-deaf salesperson, irritates his wife by buying a Porsche they can’t afford; Pat later runs into Jeff, and they witness Pat’s wife with another man. Jeff and Pat’s mother gets e-mails from a secret admirer at work, and she tries to figure out who it is. There are numerous misunderstandings, blunders, and confrontations. Things come to a head when traffic backs up on the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway.

There is a major wave of suicides on Earth when scientist Thomas Harbor proves the existence of an afterlife. Will, his estranged son, takes a ferry to the island where his father resides on the second anniversary of his discovery. He meets Isla, a disturbed mother who recently lost her five-year-old son, and they have a talk before saying their goodbyes when they arrive. Toby, Will’s brother, drives him to Thomas’s real estate, which is, in fact, a colony for unstable people who have attempted suicide. Thomas reveals that he has created a contraption that can capture what the deceased see in the afterlife. Will finds Isla attempting suicide while walking on the beach, but he saves her and takes her to his father’s house.
I decided to scour the Internet for some of Jason Segel top performances and I discovered that he is totally underrated.
