A Jewish- Italian waiter, Guido Orefice meets a beautiful schoolteacher, Dora, and falls in love with her. He wins her over with his charm and humor. The couple is happily married with a child, Giosue. Their happiness gets instantaneously comes to rest when Giosue and Guido get separated from Dora. Giosue and Guido are taken to a concentration camp. 3. The Pursuit Of Happyness

Single father Chris Gardner has a young son, Christopher Jr. Both struggles in their life as they get dislodged from their apartment. They find themselves nowhere to go. After too much scramble, Chris lands a job as an intern at a brokerage firm. However, the money at his position is no good. Both father and son go through despairs of life. Nonetheless, Christ refuses to give up and struggles to create a better life for his son.

4. The Pianist

A Polish Jewish radio station pianist, Wladyslaw Szpilman witnesses Warsaw change moderately after Worl War II begins. The war gets intense, Szpilman is forced into the Warsaw Ghetto. Later he is separated from his family after Operation Reinhard takes place. From this time, Wladyslaw hides in various ruined places of Warsaw till the prisoners are released from the concentration camp.
Roman Polanski’s The Pianist is an adaptation of the autobiography “The Pianist: The Extraordinary True Story of One Man’s Survival in Warsaw, 1939-1945”. The film shows the survival of a man against oppression. Yet the redemptive power of music makes the film transcended. He proves himself as a keeper of a priceless cultural tradition into flesh.
