Romancing The Stone

When I checked the movie for the first time on Netflix, I was shocked by how much I enjoyed this movie. The one thing you need to avoid before watching this movie is all the forums say that it is a rip-off of “Raiders Of the Lost Ark.”

It is its own movie, and it is really fun. The world-building is proper, and you get a good-directed movie considering the year it came out. The real standout from this movie was the lead between the lead actors.

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World

Master and Commander is a stellar, well-made Napoleonic Wars epic, and it is criminal how few people talk about this movie. This is one of the few movies where I am angry that I could not watch it on the big screen.

The scenes where Betany and Crowe are playing music together and their banter are just masterpieces. This movie will make you sad, angry, happy, joyous, and every other emotion.

Seven Years In Tibet

Seven Years In Tibet was one of the first movies that struck me most emotionally. The movie is based on real life. It is about an escaped prisoner of war, Heinrich Harrer, who finally reaches Tibet, meets Dalai Lama, and builds solid friendships. The movie also explains how this part of his life transforms him entirely.

It is a very good slice-of-life movie. One will give you warmth, enlightenment, and, most importantly, hope. The movie ends positively, making it another ‘good time watch.’
